BEARS & OTHER WILDLIFE

For your own and wild animals' well-being, observe all safety precautions with bear and other wildlife:

Immediately report the presence of a bear or bear sign to management. Someone's safety may depend on it.

Bears may appear tolerant of people but are known to attack without warning.
Observe bears at a distance of at least 100 yards.
Do not approach them!

It is unlawful to feed wildlife. Animals that are fed can become demanding and aggressive, causing personal injury, and must be destroyed.
Protect yourself and the bears!

Odors attract bears! Never leave food or garbage unattended. Dispose of garbage in bear-proof containers. Store all food and cooking utensils in the trunk of your car, suspended 10 feet
(3 meters) above the ground and 4 feet
(1.2 meters) horizontally from a tree or post,
or in a food storage box.

All wildlife are unpredictable and dangerous.
Keep a safe distance. Never approach wildlife
with young, and never disturb the young.
